Trusted YouA Poem by Samhwainwritten in '10. another one that just kind popped out of my notebook and figured I'd share it.
The soft breeze carries a bitter metallic taste
in your wake a steady plip plop of congealing slime echoes under your hand step by step you go never mind the chaos you've left behind Clutched in your ruthless hand crushed tight in you dirty grip lies a hopelessly beating heart ripped from it's cage of bone bleeding, flailing chains that once held it in place wave to the rhythm of your stride convulsions take your hand the muscles collapses beneath the pressure crimson seeps between your fingers failing soundlessly to the floor When you walked away that's what I saw I felt the knife, twisting and reaching deep inside my ribs that's what I knew when you refused to stay you ripped my heart out and kept it with you leaving me no where to start anew and it was all because I trusted you © 2011 SamhwainFeatured Review
