Raspberries

Raspberries

A Poem by Unsungman
"

I wrote this poem to swap reality for metaphors and metaphors for reality. At some point I conceded myself to the flow.

"

i wonder who you are?
For you come from different directions                                                              Cathedrals of hills make your thighs                                                                       frozen cherry makes your slit

Behind the lies of sky
I find the lilacs for your cheeks

I am moored to your eyes
like a hyacnith to the pond
I see you on fields and snow
At twilight you grow old

You smile among the raspberries
Hiding my thoughts
Your talons clasping me
as i suckle your blood

You leap from the lines
and stare at my being
My words try to clothe you
but you wriggle and jump
door to door
Sometimes I get a glimpse
Often the doors are closed.

And i'm in awe. To be honest, i just a blur of images which were hard to desipher because of the strong vocabulary. But non-the less, i enjoyed every line of it.

Ladies and gentlemen... the metaphor king has arrived.

I find it interesting that even after switching reality to metaphors, didn't change the fact that reality was in control. It left me yearning for the door to open once more.

Thank you. I got a real boost. I will be writing more.
Love this one Unsungman. Please keep writing for more. You have such deep vocabulary yet you're able to harmonize it with such ease and flow.
