UnbelievableA Poem by SamanthaMarieI know what love is. His face is so familiar to me that, even if I didn't see him for a thousand years, I would recognize it within a millisecond. His smell will always be home, that familiar sweet, earthy, and masucline scent that is so unique to him. When he sleeps, I stare at his relaxed face, admiring his effortless beauty, I'm always tempted to touch and stroke the soft warm skin blanketing his hard body. When I do give in, and I wake him up, sometimes he knows automatically what I crave. He leans in and places gentle kisses with his sleep swollen lips.
When he leaves for work, we say I love you a million times, almost scared it will be the last. "Drive careful! I love you!" I feel like if I don't say this, God will rip him away from me.
I love him so much, when I think about him leaving me behind on this earth, alone, the tears begin to build involuntarily. Both my mind and body recognize he will be my forever, and no one else could fill his place. There is no man out there that could replace his scent, his smile, and those tender brown eyes. He makes me feel so beautiful, when he looks upon me with a glint of admiration. His voice is deep yet soft like velvet, and when he whispers sweet nothings in my ear, I lose myself to his embrace and teasing anticipation He's seduction, and he doesn't even try. His laugh will always make me smile, and his tears will always tug on my heart.
He is my soulmate, and I hope that we are gifted with multiples lives after this one, so I can always know and feel his love surrounding me. He deserves a shrine built in his honor, a man that loves a woman so well, and to think I am that lucky woman. It's unbelievable.
