Farming

Farming

A Poem by Samantha

Up before the sun

The work is never done

Hauling hay, laying straw

Back breaking work that makes hands raw

Mending fence, feeding grain

Hoping the hours of work aren’t in vain

The answer comes with one simple expression

A look of appreciation in an animal's eyes can teach endless lessons

Yeees, I like this very much. Every line is pure poetry. Love the rustic imagery and the final line is a gem. Thank you for sharing your work here.
