Wounded Yearnings

Wounded Yearnings

A Poem by Eternal Stormcloud
"

A poem on wounded yearning of the heart

"
There seems to be a common misunderstanding
Of the meaning of loneliness and love abandoning
For a heart to yearn another in ways inexplicable
Doesn’t sets it free from its own cagey babel
One step forward and three steps back
A lonely heart won’t know a diamond from stack
The foundation has been laid, a castle of skeletons
Each brick cemented, no heartache now stuns
In the night a star dances towards the land
A lonely soul witnesses another take the stand
Years of hurt and rust ruling the kingdom
Stealthily gives the illusion of freedom
Imprisoned in the stranded island of despair
Getting out unscathed is but a spectacle so rare
