Horrifying Beauty - Part II

Horrifying Beauty - Part II

A Poem by SamaelAndLilith

Underneath the lesser light through waxes and wanes,
Anxiety sinks in as the seasons change,
You haven't made up your mind,
As I slowly lose mine,
I'm too weak to decide,
And I'm back in chains.

Too afraid to ask, a little's better than none,
Too confused to see, don't know when I'll be done,
The half-empty glass
Not enough to quench,
I'll leave you to decide if I should stay or run.

By the time that you speak, it might be to late,
But you are the only one with which I want a fate,
If it gets too much,
Horrifying Beauty is such
That no orders or love can stop it's addictive rate.

You of all people should know that it's hard,
You of all people should know that it leaves scars,
My fragility's shook,
My innocence you took,
You will have left more wounds than you've healed by far.

You think you're better than him, but in truth you're worse,
This reality is slowly fixing up the hearse,
That you promised to destroy,
After my release from his ploy,
Happiness is short when I've been born with this curse.

You told me you were mine, you made me feel at ease,
But now you've taken all of that away from me,
I can't make sense of the line,
I won't understand it with time,
You're a beating contradiction but too blinded to see.

Like constructed memories, your façade is only in your mind,
So tied up and convinced, that you're paralysed,
Repeating it through,
Will never make it more true,
By trying to heal, you're only hurting, you'll find.

Through the waxes and wanes of the lesser light,
Anxiety takes over as the harsh season bites,
You haven't made up your mind,
As I slowly die, and I'm too
Weak to decide, if I should flee or fight.
