Horrifying Beauty - Part IA Poem by SamaelAndLilith
Your silence cuts me deep,
Whilst the world [my blade] is sound asleep, To my thoughts I softly weep, Over a never-forgotten cause, The past it has such sharpened claws, They're pinning me down, I'm in too deep.
In my mind your words resound, Constantly racing, chasing around, They have me tied so tightly bound, And it's messing with my head, Such sweet lines I had once read, Peace of mind I have not found. They weren't lies, I heard you say, In the moment we were swept away, Fantasising day by day, Underneath the lesser light, Far too late into the night, There my troubles were led astray. Soon your words they felt so real, Yet our fate had already a seal, How do you expect me not to feel? I fear they were never meant for me, My mind filled with uncertainty, To horrifying beauty I must kneel. My soul you have corrupted and raped, Your body of intoxicate, My consent you should not take, But with my self-destructiveness at play, For now the consequence melts away, You've bound me to a never-ending fate. Like my ever-reopened wounds, You know I'll always fall back on you, Your presence always drifts and looms, My healing scars you can't leave alone, But all along, I've been on my own, I'll settle for just a part of you. © 2014 SamaelAndLilith |
