The Prologue: Where Death IsA Chapter by B
The world had no color outside of the gray scale, it was dark, it was empty, it was the essence of death. There is no sun, but light shines from an unknown source. A single tree stands, seemingly dead, with nothing but rock to form the rest of the terrain. At the trunk of this tree is a being, not human, but something that can almost be thought human. It sat leaning against the trunk, with some sort of worn out cape or blanket to cover its body. It had a face that resembled a human, but very different than any natural human. It only sat and starred out to the distance, as though waiting for something, anything.
Out in the distance, an unknown figure walks toward the being at the tree. The figure stood tall, also looking anti-human, yet humanoid. With a slow pace he moves, limping on its right leg. It wore a loose black jacket, a white undershirt, and black dress pants. As it approaches the siting being, the siting being looks up with some weakness. Only three meters away now, it stops walking and asks in a grotesque voice, "Are you Dis?" "Yes..." he softly said in a hardened voice, "Why do you ask?" "I hear of a legend about you. The one who found a boy. Went against the laws." "Yes, that was I. Something special was there. Something that was unseen by anyone else. I still am unaware if my decision was correct." "There is time to spend. Will you please tell me? I am growing tiered of this dead land. I want something new. Something unlike this world of old." Dis sits there, looking down. Thinking of the past. "Very well. I will tell you of when I strayed from the laws while in the Human Realm."
