Petals

Petals

A Poem by Sam

The flowers bleed pollen
Indefinitely, the bee is stupid cupid
I am a flower, my stigma lies untouched,
Barren.
Fancy my petals are not bright enough,
Ugly brown, my smell a bluff,
Bent towards the sun, my stem tough.

It is impossible to be transplanted,
Torn out at the root,
Or worse still cut,
My water supply shut,
My growth stunted.

Gasping like a fish out of water, suffocating,
The petals tease,
Pull them off like legs of a spider,
Bullets through a cat
Six, seven, eight, nine,
He loves me, He loves me not.
The petals glide down and hit the ground,
Silent, dead.
