Reinvention, My Intention

Reinvention, My Intention

A Poem by Sam

I'm top of the style pile,
Boys line up single file,
Ideas arrive, derived from the past,
Jaundiced outlook,
I loath you all,

Haughty till my downfall.

Amass experience,
Calculate an innovative appearance,
Adopted persona,
Character donor.

Bathing in change,
It's all the rage,
Revamp my identity,
A whole seperare entity.

"This old thing?" She asked in amazement. Yes, I thought, she still looks good wearing only that old thing. She was between outfits wearing only a smile. Timeless, always en vogue.

I like this. It is interesting how although wrong we are often judged immediately by our appearances. With so many make-over shows on TV... seems it isn't going to change anytime soon. In the past, when I felt a need for inner change but couldn't force it quickly enough, I would often change my hair color in an attempt to forge some small layer of change. I enjoyed this write, thanks for posting.
