Distract me from affection

My fingers quiver
tracing scarred crevasses
I'm happier
surrounded by blackness
I'd rather not see
Escape feeling unrelenting pain
I gouged my eyes out
To listen to the rain
Those tiny wispers speak from above
distracting me
From what once was love.
