Selfish rainA Poem by SamthepostmanSceptical view of the water that falls from the sky
Are you not the cry of someone above?
Weeping in pity of what he's created If such horrors persist why cry when you can mend the tatters society has been reduced to? It's always raining when I'm upset Or maybe I'm upset because it's always raining How can anything blossom without sunshine? The charcoal like clouds hold hostage my imagination The straight-jacket grip How it chokes my thoughts is uncanny Why does it rain in places already damp Yet not places continuously dust Selfish droplets sticking to their friends Too reluctant to break away and help those in need How can humans abide by equality- Even rain favours some more than others. © 2015 SamthepostmanAuthor's Note
