What Terrible Irony

What Terrible Irony

A Poem by Melissa

 Curls are not pretty.

They're frizzy and big.

Curls are not pretty

I'm considering a wig .

Hair that is pretty

is silky and straight

a girl that's a poodle

wont get a prom date.

I go to the store

and buy some sprays and creams

that claim to give you

the hair of your dreams

I begin to blow-dry

but I have no success

I try a flat iron

but it won't tame the mess

Now I'm using a real iron

on the board my hair lies flat

my hair is finally skinny!

it's no longer fat

With my silky new 'do

I go out with my friends

my hair looks perfect

from the roots to the ends

I meet a cute boy

I think we'd make a good pair

but then he turns and tells me

"I only like curly hair."

That is terribly ironic, and makes a very funny poem. Well done.

I like this one better than hairy. Its kind of ironic to go through all those changes to find someone that likes you the way you are despite all the effort you put in to change.

That would suck knowing you did all that then he said he only liked curly hair. Thats why me myself I am just me and how I look or act is myself.I wont try to be anyone else thats for sure. God created me and if some one don't like the way i look who cares,As long as I like me. great poem i loved it.karen
