THE REALM OF UNKNOWN

THE REALM OF UNKNOWN

A Poem by Sam Chuck Roberty

I feel the thirst for a new adventure

My inner urge leads me to roam

Inspiring me to Venture Out

Into the Realm of Unknown

As i walk across this ethereal earth

Thousands of things i get to see

How true he was the man who said

The best things in life are free

As i travel through these virgin lands

These jungles , dark and dense

I view the kingdom of mother nature

Unveiled through a different lens

I stand still without a move

To watch the lords of the realm of old

I stand awestruck with a racing heart

As their true powers begin to unfold

Then i look above at elusive eagles

En route to heavenly highs

Marveled and amazed without an end

As they kiss the bright & sunny sky

As i wander through the forests alone

Amidst the clouds of morning haze

A wily fox darts past me

Freezing me with a chilling gaze

But they abandoned reason Eons ago

They abjured it and kept it at bay

So alas they remain but ignorant beings

The poor ephemerals of mortal clay
