First kissA Poem by Sam87This poem isn't like my others... tried a different pattern and not sure what I think of it.
That first kiss, I knew,
There was something so different, Something special about you. That gentle brush against my skin, Set my hair on end, like electric, A sweet, unexpected sin. Those seconds felt like hours, As if only us existed, Like the world was only ours. You pulled away and I let out the air, I didn't know I were holding, In that moment I'd laid myself bare. My body reacted, my soul screamed, Calling and begging for you, The world around me gleamed. In a way I'd never seen before, New colours, sounds, music Which touched me to the core. It spoke directly to my heart, I couldn't forget the way I felt, That intense, consuming spark. That moment changed all, I thought I knew but never did, How deeply I could fall. © 2017 Sam87Reviews
