Being

Being

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

alive

"

Hope in a perfect vacuum
Words in a silent room
Love unforgiven
Gloom tinged with doom

Nothing ruled by nil
Passion frozen quietly
Desire holding still
Emptiness entirely

Worry without concern
Planning undone
Effort held in turn
Remembering no one

Strive for nothing
Come back to leave
Play in silence
Believe sans achieve

Gone to return
Memories to forget
Safely burn
Lose every bet

Realize the loss
Take an exemption
Decide who is boss
Seek a redemption

Your words are true. We must forgive people who hurt us and forgive our selves for mistake made. Your poem is filled with positive wisdom.
