invites rebellion

Activities employing less control
are democracy at its best
Giving more freedom to everyone
in every meeting and contest

 

The sporting world is in the lead
individuals win more games
It is due to the way they play
and not about their names

 

Names exercise more control
due to the weakness of our choice
It shouldn't be who we are
it should be the truth of our voice

 

When a contest isn't fixed
the winner gets more respect
The honor goes to the best
no actions are suspect

 

Winners are more admired
by complimenting the losers game
Everyone should get a share
but not everyone the same

 

The results in golf and tennis
are the purest in sport
By stroking the ball in the hole
or hitting it in the court

 

No one else is in control
making these games more fair
Even the observers of the games
listen and watch with more care

 

Real democracy doesn't penalize
those who don't play as well
When everyone can be a winner
no one needs to rebel
