Prayer

by and for love

Since prayer is the Prayer
we know whom it means
A humble God's servant
who on their God leans

 

This simple act of faith
gives comfort to one's soul
Making us feel better
while becoming more whole

 

We need Him in times of tragedy
to help us when we feel lost
Available to our mind and thoughts
never considering the cost

 

Not as needed when life is rosy
being busy with good times and love
We still need our back-up
there in heaven above

 

We hope that God will notice
because we want Him to know
That is why we pray
and why we love Him so

 

Poems about relationships
are affairs of the heart
All of God's worshipers
are comrades from the start

 

Writing is how we say
what prayer means to us
We pray with sincerity
and always with little fuss
