Hiding

is futile

Hiding from the truth
when its what you don't want to hear
Due to its harsh finality
many will have reason to fear

 

Fear is our response
reality has always been true
As long as fear was for others
it wouldn't be affecting you

 

Escape from some events
is sometimes a possible fact
But truth will always happen
no matter how we act

 

Accepting the truth with grace
when it is not easy to discuss
Is a good way face an event
if we do it with little fuss

 

If we manage to avoid
denying what we did
The whole story can be told
and nothing will be hid

 

We don't want to be accused
of something we didn't do
If we always embrace the facts
any denial won't be true

 

Denial is a form of weakness
that no one wants to hear
Being willing to face the truth
will help us deal with fear

 

Every excuse that we offer
will only hurt us in the end
We must all face the truth
its the only message left to send
