Argument

Argument

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

the choice

"
Argument is division
with two points of view
Creators being superior
or is it what Copiers do

Both stand opposite
so that each can see
Replicators believing
Creators being free

There exists the question
of the definition of terms
Can both face the answer
of what each term affirms

It might help to know
which behavior came first
The egg or the chicken
or was it the reverse

Excitement of the argument
for minds that are sane
Must deal with the question
are acts normal or arcane

Creators use invention
in the things they do
Copiers take the past
to see themselves through

When we engage in argument
as they have in the past
Who will be judged the winner
and who will come in last

Guesses are not valid
because you will find out
The behavior you will choose
is what this is about

I was a Soldier for 15 years. As a leader We would plan out best way and time limits to get things done. To me. Solving problems should be easy. Put all the possibilities of repair on the table. The good and the bad. Decide the best way. In a argument. No-one can win. Need to talk and listen. Figure what must be done. A very good poem. We live in a world where men and woman are afraid to make decisions. They need some balls and some common sense. Thank you for your always thought provoking poetry. A outstanding poem.
