What is Life?

knowing would help

 

 

If you know... you are alive
if dead you won't even care
One might also wonder
if the question was even fair

 

These words are an attempt
at a poem that tries to say
It takes a human mind
to have the need to pray

 

Words have always been
the main language of love
Giving every human the power
to worship a God above

 

For anyone who is living
the words had to come first
The essence of our prayers
that satisfy this human thirst

 

Searching for other forms of life
is an important human trait
Success in this endeavor
will be well worth the wait

 

So far the elements found
are matter common to us
Though they are not alive
the finds are really a plus

 

If humans can avoid dissension
other life forms we may find
In the meantime we should try
to learn what it means to be kind
