Real Value

Real Value

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

when learned

"
The more we try to learn
the sooner we will know
The real values in life
and what makes them so

It might take twelve years
to learn who we really are
And it may be then
we learn the meaning of par

Par is the life most get
for reasons not fully known
The average life expectancy
as statistics have shown

Our religion adds some hope
that there will be no end
A message we want to hear
and our praying can send

Believing humbly in God
 who will always be there
We know He will do His best
to give us His care

Religion tries to teach
what else we must do
It is our responsibility
to do our share too

If we ever hope to reach
the average age to live
There will be more hope
if we practice ways to give

Giving is also getting
and it happens when we share
Those who live the longest
are another caring pair
