Hope

and our future

A little word about the future
that poets like to call hope
A good choice in poetry
because it rhymes with cope

 

Part of every expectation
is a result we want to be true
It helps to make things happen
or its an act we would not do

 

Every word we use to describe
the plans we try to fulfill
Is another form of anticipation
that will likely fill the bill

 

It takes many words and thoughts
to say how everyone wishes to feel
There is little doubt their need
is less than a desired big deal

 

When fear causes hopelessness
and everything seems to be lost
There is still a serious want
we can somehow afford the cost

 

You have now read many words
to tell a person's ground for good
So join the successful
and hope the way you should

 

If you are still satisfied
that no good will ever come
We will all do our best
as we try to send you some

 

We know we will succeed
as most have done before
Think of it as our good deed
and we will try to send you more
