Breeding

Breeding

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

and the life we live

"

Selective breeding in life
seems to work very well
The food available to eat
is food that can sell

Choices from our past
is the food we demand
The company we keep
are people we can stand

Breeding is a process
with each new generation
It affects our attitude
toward every relation

Humans are evolving
in everything they do
If we practice survival
we may live longer too

You have already learned
that people are not the same
Their differences are interesting
no one should look for blame

Our breeding affects everyone
and the choices we make
What we choose to call good
or the paths that we take

Growing up is a challenge
and our children have to cope
Provide them family unity
so they learn the value of hope

Since differences are genetic
our mind knows what is so
What we learn in our early life
will affect everything we know
