Hanging On

Hanging On

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

believe it...

"
If you believe you can
you can still be hanging on
There's a lot more to do
before you are gone

We can even go again
with our clear memory
To those great times we had
and our mind can still see

Believing it can happen
is a good way to begin
Reliving the excitement
of indulging in sin

Some parts are worn out
due to the wear and tear
No need to worry about it
cause no one wilI care

Seeing and still breathing
says there is a lot more
Can't let the pain bother
even when you're sore

Giving up would be too easy
but was never a plan to do
Missing light in the morning
would say you were through

Each day was another gift
it had warm sun in the south
No one should ever
look a gift horse in the mouth

Quitting was never an option
it just doesn't seem right
For someone who has never
given up the fight
