The MediaA Poem by Sam Freelandso attractiveThe media eats holes in the mind This is no apology for my slack
I bought the package whole The enjoyment I felt was real one can see how it took its toll My objection may seem very strange
since I chose the activity myself What I do every day now for pleasure is leave all the books on the shelf They used to be such good friends
and helped every line I wrote They never asked for or were given a fancy or embroidered golden coat They just served as soldiers for me
ready with just the right word If one source lacked what I needed another had words I hadn't heard The inns and outs of writing
must come from some magic place Smiling or frowning with pleasure while putting on your happy face This diatribe must end very soon
because the point I had was made I am already missing the media determination is beginning to fade If you add a few words of your own
I hope they will fill what I missed There was never any intention to cause anyone to ever be pissed 8.5.2011
