Dreaming

Dreaming

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

some good some bad

"

Words we use in descriptions

become fodder for our future dreams

When they come back with repercussions

its not pleasant or so it seems

Confusion might be our problem

but with a new tale being told

It could help us as we search

for the proverbial pot of gold

When pains lead to ailments

words will often find a way

To conjure or create much worse

by joining in on the fray

Dreams can bring back memories

often of people whom we love

They seem to be right here with us

not just looking down from above

Dreaming of days gone by

can sometimes help us heal

Our troubles may then be gone

as well as the pains we feel

For the moments of our dream

our world will seem to be okay

Our dream of yesterday

may have a better ending today

The pain and love we often feel

are the echoes in our mind

We dream because we care

seeking the peace we hope to find

Every dream is a new beginning

heed them for the message they tell

Think more thoughts of love

the effort will usually bode well
