Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

of love and fear

"
Words used in description
become fodder for future dreams
They come back with repercussions
not pleasant so it seems

Confused wouldn't be a problem
with a the new tale being told
It could even be finding
the proverbial pot of gold

When pains lead to ailments
the words will find a way
Conjuring and creating worse
as they join in the fray

Dreams can bring back memories
often of the people who we love
It seems like they're right here with us
and not just looking down from above

Dreaming of yesterday
can sometimes help us heal
Our troubles are all gone
as are the pains that we feel

For just a single moment
our world will seem Okay
Dreaming of yesterday
as if it were today
