Poems or Tweets

which to send?

Poems are not tweets
they take much more thought
Every word is more distinct
and not about what's been bought

 

Serious thoughts with a  purpose
are valid however they are sent
What we do for attention
may indicate a shallower intent

 

The device we employ
to enhance the numbers we reach
Will determine the effectivity
of the thoughts we teach

 

Poems can endure for ages
both intelligent and refined
Due to the powerful sensitivity
in the way they are designed

 

If tweets last for a day
their purpose will be fulfilled
Tomorrow tweets will be about
some child who was killed

 

Being first with the news
is likely why tweets are sent
The importance of the information
usually of lesser intent

 

The intent of our message
may gain followers galore
If that is all we wanted
our tweeting to be for

 

But the effort to write a poem
will make the message seem more real
The words you will be using
will better describe how you feel
