Planning Ahead

a way to go

Planning ahead creates a future
to look back on at a later date
With care and consideration
maybe you won't be late

 

At least you will achieve
a good reason for being alive
Every day to fulfill the promise
of the goal to which you strive

 

Taking life only as it comes
is also a reasonable plan
An accident could happen
before the new plan began

 

However you view this poem
it is only a mind game to play
Even before you finish reading
it could all be ending today

 

If you have scanned ahead
you are already fully aware
That thoughts about planning
were a good way to get there

 

No one will ever be able
to fulfill all the promises made
Just waiting for the future to happen
like it was all a big parade

 

Just live your life seriously
and make every day the best
Before you will even know it
 there will still be time to rest

 

If you get to look back you will see
the many good times that were had
And if this never happens
you missed the times that were bad
