What Word ?

common and inclusive

A four letter concept
containing all there is to know
As a noun it has no limit
with so many ways to go

 

Always being defined
in words that are the same
So that everyone will know
the importance of its name

 

Every language needs it
but without being incomplete
Filling pages and more pages
and still needing another sheet

 

We know it has no end
or it wouldn't fulfill its goal
Needing evermore examples
to satisfy its role

 

The impersonal pronoun is used
to avoid giving its name away
Making it less obvious
as you deal with it today

 

If you are tempted
to look ahead to find
Don't even try to do this
unless you are blind

 

The point of the explanations
is to prevent the shortcut
The word is very simple
for the mind open or shut

 

Since all of these words
are contained within its size
Definition becomes more obvious
for all who are wise

 

If you still haven't found
the point of what has been said
You were not given the word
that doesn't rhyme with dead
