Argument

Argument

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

who's on first?

"

An argument divides

two different points of view

Are creators superior

to what replicators do

Since both take place

within everyone's sight

Is replication much better

or is ceativity right

Argument forces the question

concerning definition of terms

Can we all accept the answer

of what each term affirms

We might need to know

which behavior came first

As in the egg or the chicken

or was it the reverse

The pleasure of this argument

for minds more sane

Comes down to the problem

are thoughts normal or arcane?

Inventors want credit

for the things they do

Or were they first replicators

like me and you?

We all indulged in argument

many times in the past

We are still trying to determine

which came in last

You have probably guessed

we will never find out

So let this discussion end

without one single shout
