Imagination

Imagination expressed in print
shared in the novels we read
Satisfying the reader's curiosity
and answering a writer's need

Many did not read the novels
because they were not aware
Of how much readers enjoyed them
or maybe they just didn't care

When a person has not read
what thousands have chosen to do
An avid reader might like to share the tale
thinking it will be a delight for you

Devoted readers find it difficult
to leave others out in the cold
Giving them motivation to relate
the stories writers have told

Reading enjoyment can help
the understanding we possess
It is always better to know more
about life than knowing less

When someone likes to write
they learn the difficulty of the task
Depending on written resources
for questions there is no one to ask

The right words are important
to convey what we want to express
Rewriting can improve any story
leaving much less to guess

A fact the writer should understand
 writing takes serious application
In order to learn to write well
it will require an active imagination
