A Longer Life

A Longer Life

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

from choices you make

"
The plan to live a long life
could hardly be called a mistake
But as you age you might wonder
if or when something will break

A long term plan has many years
with some requirements to do
Start eating healthier foods now
so your body can see you through

Get a good nights sleep
a healthy body needs the rest
Your daily work will benefit
and you will look your best

Health gets more important
for every year that goes past
What do for your system
can make your longevity last

The type of work you choose
should have a creative slant
Boring monotonous employment
fits those who say "I can't"

Believing instead you can do
what is needed and even more
Gives strength to every effort
it why most winners score

The battle for survival
the most serious game you play
You win or lose by what you do
there is no other way

If ever you should ever find one
share it with all of your friends
They will be forever grateful
until their time of life ends

Thank you for the strong wisdom in your words. Life can be hard. A wise person find time in a day for the good things. Laughter and family. I learn years ago. Leave work at work. Don't need to bring the pain back home to the poor family. A outstanding poem. I agree with your positive words. Thank you.
