in the universe

When we felt the ground shake
did it mean the end had come
Many urgent repeated warnings
will be heard by only some

 

The alert sound we are given
should tell us what to do
That is why it was sounded
so our losses would be few

 

Should some fail to follow
what our leaders have said
They may not be savable
becoming casualties instead

 

It is hard to face the truth
when your end may arrive
But nature's wrathful actions
means many will not survive

 

What everyone needs to know
we live in a world not our own
Survival here is temporary
as history has clearly shown

 

Time in this universe
is a measure not well understood
If we spend our time creatively
our efforts can do something good

 

 Its not necessary to look far
for helpful things to do
Our own health will also benefit
and you know this is true

 

Taking care of own problems
should help us be more alert
What we do for family and friends
doesn't require being an expert
