A Taste For Learning

A Taste For Learning

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

and happier solutions

"
We learn from those who know
it improves our life ahead
Lasting all of our many years
is the taste we never should shed

A taste that adds to our choices
helps in everything we do
It gives us a more rounded life
even in events that are new

By honoring what we learn
we will have more success
Ignoring the facts of the past
will only lead to much less

Habits that influence our taste
give power to the way we react
We need these character traits
to understand what is a fact

Experience brings more questions
challenging the life we know
Sharing our knowledge with others
is the best route we should go

They will also return the favor
by giving our future a new slant
That asks the important question
about whether you can or you can't

Fear of the unknown is normal
it lacks the quality of sure
But moving forward with courage
might be our only cure

Having a taste for learning
adds excitement to every day
Knowing how to face our problems
is the best way to feel okay
