Equality

for some

Equality is a choice
for those who will aspire
To be equal in what they do
and possibly much higher

 

The future will be the judge
of how we measured up
Were we seen as being worthy
even if we won the cup

 

There is no escape
from the facts in our case
The good and the evil
will never know erase

 

The truth in any plan
will be known by hindsight
All that ever happened
will soon see the light

 

History is a friend
to those who do their best
Giving peace of mind to those
as they take the final rest

 

The image seen
in the mirror of time
Will echo forever
with every crime

 

This will give equality
its final nudge
Were we even noticed
by those who judge

 

There is one sure way
to be part of the count
Show everyone you can
an unlimited amount
