When a third of us never cooperate
it is easy to see, why we like a pet
The animals are so dependent
their tenure in life is set

 

Being a pet has always been
a life that is more secure
As long as any animal or person
behaves dependently, its for sure

 

When they cease to cooperate
they are suddenly on their own
Discarded, ignored or destroyed
they will now be left alone

 

Animals cannot choose
there are few laws to protect
But lawyers can get rich
when people don't connect

 

There are no pre-nupts
for animals to sign
It better insures their loyalty
since they cannot resign

 

They can be put down
for reasons not their own
So they seldom run the risk
of any uncooperative tone

 

People prized for their beauty
do very well as a pet
Even when uncooperative
alimony is a good bet

 

Animals and people
who cooperate in every way
Will have a good future
and be allowed to stay
