Forgiving

Forgiving

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

real love

"
When you can forgive
the actions you feel
that have done you wrong
you will begin to heal

Anger is a sickness
in the body of man
giving hurt to the holder
damaging any plan

To finally understand
whose act is worse
will be the first step
in dealing with the curse

One's own behavior
may be a cause of the wrong
that started the difficulty
we have had all along

There is only one behavior
that we can improve
we must wake up and do this
it is really our move

As we all surely know
it takes two to tango
the dance cannot begin
until we are both ready to go

Forgiving is the solution
and its time now to start
fixing the dilemma
that has kept us apart

Any action we now take
to aid in this repair
will demonstrate clearly
how much that we care

Forgiving is still
our best two way street
making it possible
 for us to happily meet
