Our Personal Plan

for doing our part

No matter how we plan for it
the future will be a surprise
Get used to change early on
it will help anyone who tries

 

Many good things will happen
and many we will call bad
But keeping a positive attitude
will limit the times we are sad

 

Happiness is elusive
not a state that we can control
If we don't expect too much
bad times will take less of a toll

 

Predictions will be part of our plan
and many efforts will fail
Accept the defeats as well as you can
no one wants to hear your wail

 

Of all the things we hope for
living in peace is the best
War has always ravaged the planet
and gives civilizations no rest

 

This means we must look for
a place where we can survive
Nothing good will ever happen to us
unless we manage to stay alive

 

Humans have managed for centuries
to avoid being no more
Now it is your turn to help out
that is really what sharing is for

 

If you can find someone to help
 your plan will include doing your part
So renounce a life of selfishness
and you will have made a very good start
