a gift of love

The best of our mentors
manage to live very long
Their life plays like music
 we try to live their song

 

Always looking out for us
these many fruitful years
Their serious concern
has calmed our fears

 

Parents should be the mentors
they have much more to give
With the deep concern they have
we may enjoy a longer life to live

 

Parenting is an investment
that gives the family hope
A family's future will be stronger
and better able to cope

 

We all look to the future
and a better life ahead
Our children can carry on
the life that we have led

 

It makes us consider the future
and how we act today
Are we mentoring them correctly
so they will be okay?

 

The environment we give them
will affect the way they learn
Requiring it to be the best
so to carry on our concern

 

Our life will have meant more
if we have done nothing less
After all what we hope for
is our children's success
