Awakening

words like gentle rain
fall from a poetic mind
to send a message of love
expressions so kind

 

the sharing of love
from the muse there inside
maybe a bit too bashful
to give their writing a ride

 

so easy to be held back
by reading what others write
what should happen instead
you can start sharing your light

 

 thoughts expressed in rhyme
are given a musical tone
in the same way song lyrics
say we are not alone

 

we all have a beginning
in what we learn to do
 using a loving approach
our words will be seen as true

 

any poem you write
 will show you are brave
no better way exists
to speak of love that you gave

 

when you begin to write
and share what you feel
you will know yourself better
and life will be more real
