to describe a person's acts
It is often more likely
they are unaware of the facts

 

If they choose this ignorance
dumb may be the right word
When they are told the facts
they still may not have heard

 

Having a brain deficiency
does not fit this case
But behaving foolishly
will make it hard to save face

 

Labeling someone dumb
is a poor choice of words
Even using birdbrain
is an insult to the birds

 

Language has the purpose
of saying how people are described
So when they are a drunk
it was due to what they imbibed

 

If you hate to be called dumb
there is something you can do
Fulfill all of your obligations
and do it willingly too

 

Being described as being dumber
is a condition even worse
It is a well known behavior
of those who are perverse

 

The word that will describe us
will be the person we choose to be
It will be based on how we act
and others will agree
