Finding Truth

is a universal effort

 

Sanity and sound judgement

will lead to wisdom some day

Experience will find the truth

in a simple but powerful way

 

Truth revealed to the holy

hailed as God speaking to men

Is how they became Holy

having power of more than ten

 

Depending only on their revelations

is one way to ignore the facts

Facts lead to dependable truths

that describe everyone's acts

 

Everyone feels the comfort

of a powerful force being in control

Belief in God grants us peace

and happiness most wish to know

 

Total truth is beyond our grasp

each limited to being only one

With many great minds at the task

more truth will finally be won

 

They will depend not only on facts

to support what they believe

Their valiant search for the truth

must include what the Holy receive

 

For many our God helps us live

so let it be the truth for you

Having this very healthy attitude

will engender a long life too

 

Let Hawking and his friends believe

in whatever their truth can say

That would give us all more peace

and it would likely be God's way
