Family Planning

Family Planning

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

some do and some don't

"

A strong family that works
and achieves some success
Will own their part of the world
most other families get less

Believing in the phrase
the meek shall inherit the earth
Is one of the avenues
to a life of less worth

Those who proposed this idea
were organized to the teeth
As they praised their religion
they kept the meek underneath

Forget about revolution
it will soon be put down
Leaving the meek believers
with even less than a frown

Family members should try
to work like successful kin
They will learn to appreciate
how effort helps them win

Though some may disagree
good workmanship will abide
A truth that has not changed
because truth has never lied

Strong families who are aware
of their need to educate their own
Lend support to special schools
whose success has so often grown

With their control of the media
the strong get what they seek
Leaving the weaker of the world
to lives that are meek
