Families

Families

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

a few are strong, many are not

"
A strong family that works
and prizes success
Will own their part of the world
while many families get less

Lessors will hear teachers say
the meek shall inherit the earth
But this will only lead to
their feelings of less worth

Their teachers meanwhile
are organized to the teeth
Piling up their wealth
keeping the meek underneath

If they ever try revolution
it will soon be put down
Leaving the humbled
with even less than a frown

Family members who try
to work like successful kin
Will learn to appreciate
how effort helps them win

While some may disagree
history is on this family's side
In truth the world has changed
and truth has never lied

Strong families are aware
of their need to educate their own
By their support of special schools
their unlimited power has grown

By controlling the media
they get more of what they seek
Leaving weaker families to live
like the others who are meek

This poem is an amazing piece of art. The last four 'paragraphs' were extremely well written, and I think, very well planned out. "In truth, the world has changed, and truth has never lied." That line was awesome. @@ Great work! :D
