Human Solutions

Human Solutions

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

as in all animal forms

"
How are they solved
is what we all want to know
When humans are the opposers
some of them have to go

Going away or dying
both will do just fine
No one wants to hear this
now or any other time

For every animal society
problems were solved this way
One or more opposers
would never see the light of day

The history of human solutions
required one side to give in
A case of winners and losers
creating more problems again

The cycle won't end very soon
the battle will rage on and on
Losers always hate that tune
and will fight until we all are gone

There are many other life forms
waiting for their chance on the stage
So they can do battle on their own
destroying each other with rage

The universe is so large
endless examples of  this may exist
We are doing our best to find out
it may be worse than anyone wished

For now I know my solution
I will try to find joy in my day
That, my friend, is my resolution
for me there isn't a better way
