Being Positive

the best way to start

To have real hope for the future
requires intelligence in the mind
An understanding of history
says the future will not be very kind

 

Any kindness derives from effort
it takes a good human to make it so
Our future is up to the persons
who have always made everything go

 

They live and breathe with effort
as they lead and show us the way
Intelligence says trust their direction
alone we would not be okay

 

To be positive requires trust
a trait many fools don't share
They would lead us into anarchy
and not know enough to care

 

We encounter these fools every day
they have the newest and surest plan
Just send a few dollars to join
and you can go to the promised land

 

To tell who the good leaders are
find out how they treated their kin
If there was love and plenty of sharing
we might learn if we're going to win

 

Winning will be sharing their dream
our trust will be doing our part
We must find a way to do this
and believe it with all of our heart

 

We cannot know how it will turn out
the future is always a mystery
But believing in known good leaders
is the best way for us to see
