Belief and Truth

not always the same

With limited information
the truth is hard to find
Belief fills the gap so well
it comforts a person's mind

 

Every belief can be created
as in every choice we make
Giving us the power we feel
in choosing the path to take

 

When we share this path
with the others we know
It becomes a way of life
and the surest way to go

 

If we question our beliefs
it says maybe we were wrong
We may have just been led
to poor choices all along

 

You can see from this dilemma
there may be no way to know
Only an open mind will help
if we question what is so

 

The results of further search
may shed us more light
The more we learn from facts
will help us in doing what is right

 

This effort requires more work
that only the strong will do
It is about being man or mouse
don't bite off more than you can chew

 

We all need to remember
that whatever choices we make
In the one life we were given
the truth we found gave us our break
