Attitude

a powerful force

Attitude is a feeling
the mind controlling our state
The effect will be to determine
the events of our fate

 

A function of our choice
Controlling what we do
Shared and felt by others
as a guide for them too

 

Our personal truths
will not be understood
So give a better explanation
and you know that you should

 

Learning from their response
of another point of view
Will be a significant help
in anything we choose to do

 

One lives not well alone
as Donne has clearly said
No man is an island
refusing to be led

 

We are all part of the picture
and can't escape while alive
The more we share with others
will help us all to survive

 

Reach out to a friend
the friend will reach back to you
The connection you both will have
will help in learning what is true

 

Attitudes could then be shared
helping any friendship grow
It is a happier state
that everyone wants to know
